Youth Basketball League
RRC offers basketball leagues for girls and boys in 3rd & 4th grades and in 5th & 6th grades. Our leagues are set up to provide plenty of fun and appropriate competition throughout the program. Teams are established by means of evaluation and group rating by the coaches through workouts. All participants are required to go to the workouts. Teams are selected randomly by drawing players of the same rating until each pool has been evenly distributed. Depending on the number of participants the leagues may have to play coed. Teams will play a six week game schedule beginning in January. Games will be played on Sunday afternoons. Entry fee is $20 with a late fee of $5 extra. Workout dates and coaches meeting TBA!

Turkey Shoot Competition
The RRC is putting on a Basketball Turkey Shoot for the community. Team up with your child and shoot baskets to win your Thanksgiving turkey. The event will match a parent and child together. Parents may enter with more than one child but may only win one turkey.
Grades: 3rd - 4th grades & one adult
Entry Deadline: Friday, November 21st
Entry Fee: $2.00 per team & $1.00 each additional child
To Be Held: Sunday, November 23rd TBA

Youth Instructional Basketball League
Russell Recreation is offering an instructional basketball league for boys and girls in grades Kindergarten through 2nd. This league is set up to provide plenty of fun and appropriate instructions for each individual to gain knowledge of the game. Stationary drills will be run by H.S. basketball players and coaches on Sundays. This will be a five week schedule. We will meet from 12:30pm to 1:30pm beginning January 4th and ending February 1st at the High School Little Gym. Deadline to sign up is Friday, December 19th.
Tae Kwon Do
Build self-confidence, stamina, concentration and self-control through martial arts. Instructor Sandi Stricker, who is a Black Belt, will teach this ancient art.
Classes & Times: Tiny Tigers (ages 3-7) 6pm-6:30pm
Karate for Kids and Adults (ages 8 & Up) 6:30pm-8:00pm

Longest Pheasant Tail Competition
